Template — review with counsel. This page is a starting template written for the fictional Halvenor Realty demonstration and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Do not publish it for a real business without legal review in every country where you operate.
Halvenor Realty wants everyone to be able to search for a home, contact an agent and manage an account. We aim for our website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we design with keyboard use, screen readers, zoom and reduced motion in mind.
What we do
We test new pages and components against WCAG 2.2 AA before release and review the site manually with keyboard navigation and common screen readers. Our standards apply to colour contrast, text alternatives for images, visible focus indicators, form labels and errors, consistent navigation and target sizes.
- Photographs of properties include descriptive alternative text
- Forms have visible labels and clear error messages
- Pages can be used with a keyboard alone and zoomed to 200% without loss of content
- Animations respect the “reduce motion” setting in your device
- Maps and galleries provide a list or text alternative
Known limitations
Some areas are still being improved. Interactive maps are difficult to use with a screen reader, although every listing also has a text address and a list view. Some older PDF documents uploaded by agents, such as brochures and floor plans, may not be fully accessible. Embedded third-party videos and virtual tours are provided by suppliers and may not meet our standards. We are working with them on improvements.
Legal framework
We aim to meet or exceed the requirements of the Equality Act 2010 in the UK, the European Accessibility Act in the EU, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act in Canada and the Americans with Disabilities Act in the US, as they apply to our services.
Tell us about a problem
If you find something that is hard to use, please let us know at accessibility@halvenor.example or by phone on +44 20 7946 0100. Tell us the page address, what you were trying to do and the assistive technology you use. We reply within five working days and aim to fix problems or offer an alternative format promptly. We can provide listing details in large print, plain text or by telephone on request.
If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service in the UK, or the equivalent body in your country.
Review
This statement was prepared in October 2026 and will be reviewed at least once a year or when the site changes significantly.
