Sales
Selling and buying homes with honest valuations, full fee disclosure and one agent from first viewing to completion.
Our sales teams in London, New York, Toronto, Paris and six other cities advise buyers and sellers on every stage of a transaction. We price homes from recent sales, not from wishful thinking, and we explain the evidence behind every figure.
What you get
- Evidence-based valuations: Every valuation shows comparable sales, days on market and a written recommendation.
- Fees stated up front: Commission and expected closing costs are written into your agreement before you sign.
- One named agent: You deal with the same licensed agent from first viewing to the keys changing hands.
- Local legal partners: We introduce independent lawyers and notaries who are experienced in your type of transaction.
Each listing carries the local taxes, fees and disclosures that apply to it, so buyers can compare real costs rather than headline prices.

Common questions
Answers to the questions clients ask us most about this service.
How do you value my home?
A Halvenor valuer visits the property, reviews recent sales of comparable homes, assesses its condition and the local market and gives you a written valuation with a recommended asking price. Valuations are free and carry no obligation.
How much does it cost to sell with Halvenor?
Commission depends on the country and the service. In the UK our fees are typically between 1% and 1.5% plus VAT, in the US commission is negotiated and usually paid by the seller from the proceeds, and in continental Europe it is often between 3% and 5%. Your agent will give you an agreement that lists every fee before you sign.
What documents do I need to sell?
Expect to provide proof of identity and ownership, energy performance certificate where required, service charge or HOA records for apartments, and planning or building permits for any extension. Your lawyer or conveyancer will request the rest.
