Two-bedroom flat off Plaça del Sol
Gràcia, Barcelona
By ·Lucía Ferrer

Gràcia is a bohemian former village now absorbed into Barcelona, with small squares, independent shops and a strong local identity. It appeals to creatives, young families and anyone who prefers neighbourhood life to tourist crowds.
A web of narrow streets opens onto lively plazas like Plaça del Sol and Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia, lined with terraces and cafes. The area’s annual Festa Major turns the streets into elaborate decorated tunnels.
The L3 and FGC lines connect to the centre in 10 minutes, and most errands are on foot. Cycling is popular, though some streets are steep.
In 2026 the median sale price is about €420K, roughly €5,100 per square metre, and a typical 2-bedroom rental costs about €1,750 a month. Prices are up 5.4% on a year ago and homes take around 48 days to sell, which points to strong demand.
Plazas can be noisy into the early hours, especially on weekends and during August festivities. Flats tend to be smaller and older, and street parking is limited.
