Renovated two-room flat by the canal
Kreuzberg, Berlin
By ·Jonas Becker

Kreuzberg is a multicultural, creative district known for its nightlife, street food and canal-side parks. It offers a wide range of apartments from classic Altbau to converted warehouses.
Turkish markets, vintage shops, galleries and bars give Kreuzberg its edgy but friendly energy. The Landwehr Canal and Görlitzer Park draw crowds in summer.
U1, U6, U7 and U8 lines meet in the district, and Hallesches Tor and Kottbusser Tor are major interchanges. Bike lanes make cycling the default mode.
In 2026 the median sale price is about €390K, roughly €5,800 per square metre, and a typical 2-bedroom rental costs about €1,500 a month. Prices are up 3% on a year ago and homes take around 52 days to sell, which points to strong demand.
Nightlife is a big part of the identity, so choose a quiet courtyard flat if you value sleep. Prices have risen, but the area is still more affordable than central Mitte.
