Restored four-storey brownstone in Park Slope
Park Slope, New York
By ·Marcus Bell

Park Slope is a tree-lined Brooklyn neighbourhood of brownstones and pre-war apartments beside Prospect Park, known for its family appeal and strong public schools. Rents and prices are among the highest in the borough.
Rows of limestone and brownstone townhouses line Seventh Avenue and the side streets, with Prospect Park on the east. Cafes, independent bookshops and playgrounds make it feel like a village inside the city.
The F, G, R and 2/3 lines reach Lower Manhattan in 20 to 30 minutes, and Atlantic Terminal connects to Long Island. Many parents bike or walk children to school.
In 2026 the median sale price is about $1.35M, roughly $12,400 per square metre, and a typical 2-bedroom rental costs about $5,200 a month. Prices are up 3.8% on a year ago and homes take around 48 days to sell, which points to strong demand.
Zoned elementary schools are a big draw and affect prices block by block. Co-op boards are common in the pre-war buildings, and street parking is a daily negotiation.
